Another no-so-normal year, in review.
For another peculiar year, we once again find our selves delivering such unique and out-of-the-ordinary jobs, helping hospitality owners, management and staff with everything from carafes, to container kitchens, along the way. Follow along as we wind down, take stock and re-cap.
Venue Fitouts
Our fitout project deliveries and involvements feature Bould Move climbing gym 1000m2 fitout (including 12m+ cafe/retail space), Koi Fish and Chips in Buderim, our new kitchen overhaul for our mates at YourMates Brew House, a community kitchen for a cause with IFYS Urban Angels.
Food-service installs with design and advice have seen a cafe space for our good friends at Murray’s in the award winning ‘Avalon’ development by Mosaic, Medinah Lebanese Cafe in Mooloolaba – amongst many others that have been progressing in between and on the way through.
The customised and made-to-order equipment package for our longstanding clients at the unforgettable Hatted Spirit House in Yandina has just landed, ready for installation as their rebuild (following closures due to vandalism damages earlier this year) quickly progresses.
Just open, our full design and shop fitting provision for a new cafe and retail experience at Organika Noosa was a high pressure install, with compressed timeframe as short as 3 weeks, requiring lots of documenting detail and planning. Read more over on the case study…
Design
Most Recently completed; Alba Noosa by Peter Kuruvita has just officially opened. We partnered with an awesome project team that delivered a rushed project just in time for the the end of year season. and we can’t wait to visit to experience the finished product.
In the meantime we’re super-mega excited for what’s on the cards for 2022 – design commissions are already stacking up. Kicking it off in 2022, the coast’s largest Meals on Wheels facility will undergo overhaul, with food-service kitchen design documentation now having reached completion.
We’re already well into designs for epic new nursery with outdoor garden bar & restaurant coming to the Sunshine Coast hinterland, a beachy new bar venue up in Rainbow, and a lush brunch spot at Stocklands new Aura central facility and display office.
Further from home, a cornerstone Tasmanian cafe building a new space in a heritage Launceston warehouse, we’re providing designs for a little Norfolk Island venue overhaul, a cute country New South Wales cafe refit, and a delightful early 1900’s South Queensland country pub.
Container Kitchens (by Improbable)
Our shipping container kitchen & bars have been having a big few years now, this year we completed a Sugarbag Road Mountain Bike Park cafe facility design with the powerhouse Bark Architects, for Sunshine Coast Council – going on to deliver cold-shell fitout cafe containers to site as part of the upgrade works. Burleigh Brewing Co received delivery of a brand new Craft Beer Bar outlet, custom designed with wall fridges and draught-beer, for the new Distillery Road Market activation in Beenleigh.
We’re mid-way through constructing a multi-container compound due west for Winton, QLD as part of a college campus installation, keep an eye out for that in February.
