With space for functions and conferences as well as a relaxed café and beer garden, Rainbow Beach’s new venue Coffee Rocks is a busy place.
Owner Michael Read was going to manage the creation of his new venue himself, but decided to engage Hiller’s design, fitout and commercial kitchen equipment supply specialists. He says he’s very glad he did,
“I wouldn’t change anything about Coffee Rocks, and that’s the ultimate compliment. The entire process ran very smoothly – I couldn’t recommend Hiller more highly.”
Michael says the fitout was done with the utmost care and good old fashioned service,
“The Hiller team went above and beyond for me so I didn’t have to worry about it. They took care of everything – one of the cabinets needed altering in the thick of the fitout, so Hiller arranged to have it shipped to their warehouse, machined and returned to me the next day.”
Michael had his own ideas about how he wanted his kitchens and bars to look and the Hiller team provided their input to create the final product,
“Hiller’s depth of experience in designing kitchens and bars was amazing. I always felt like a partner with Hiller, they kept me involved every step of the way.”
The impressive kitchen at Coffee Rocks can serve up to 180 people.
“I’ve had visitors – including chefs and people from the council – say it’s one of the best kitchens they’ve seen. Its functional and flows beautifully.”
Michael loves the flexibility of purpose that Hiller incorporated in the kitchen and bar design. He can book functions that vary from corporate conferences to weddings,
“The bar and kitchen are so efficient that I can book two functions at once”, says Michael.
And this efficiency has had additional benefits,
“Hiller designed the bar to serve two function rooms which has saved me in labour costs.”
Business is going well for Michael – in the coming months he has booked six weddings and two conferences.
