Located on the river at Maroochydore, Rivershore is a tourism destination with a difference. Incorporating glamping, caravan sites and a campground, it has superb new facilities including a boat ramp and pontoon, waterslides, mini golf, kayak hire and a café / bar and dining area. Family run and owned by the McGovern family, it’s the first new caravan / campground park to be built in the Sunshine Coast for 45 years.
The McGovern’s architect recommended Hiller as the café, bar and kitchen design specialist and equipment / stainless steel supplier. Bernie McGovern says,
“The key to the success of our new café, kitchen and bar was that Hiller Design was brought in right at the beginning of the project.
“The process flowed smoothly because Hiller’s designs showed everyone involved with the café, bar and kitchen exactly what was expected of them. The fitout crew knew the required spacing for all of the equipment, and the tradies knew exactly where to install fittings such as pipework and power points.”
The food and drink service area at Rivershore has a dual purpose: it’s a café by day and a bar by night. Hiller created a clever design that allows the staff could run both functions,

The McGovern family says they are also happy with the commercial kitchen equipment that Hiller has supplied,
“Hiller helped us select the equipment by talking to us about our proposed menu, recommending equipment and then explaining the differences between the options. We have a modern café that serves good quality and affordable foods and the equipment performs well.
“We ended up changing a pizza oven and Hiller helped us with that, it’s been great to have the ongoing relationship”, says Bernie.
